And why you can't manifest for other people
Here's a really cool manifesting story for you!
My husband works for a sports team and he told me about a half-time car giveaway competition. He came home after the game and said it went well and the lady who won the car was really excited.
I didn't think much about it, until I got an email from a reader called Wendy with the behind the scenes story.
And it's freaking AWESOME.
So - 11 people had won a chance to be involved. Each had picked a key at random and only ONE key fit the car. Just a random lottery, right?
Each person was asked "What would you do if you won the car?"
All but one said they would sell it to help a friend or family member, one was going to sell it to help a family member with illness.
ONE of the contestants said straight up, "I am going to win this car"

This lady kept telling everyone she was going to win and at the photo shoot, as she spread herself across the car she said, "Sorry folks, I am winning this car".
And the result?
This would be a terrible manifesting story if she hadn't won, so of course, she had the right key and won a brand new Hyundai i20! Congratulations to Julie Dempsey from Hexham Bowling Club on winning the PROticket Car Promotion. Awesome manifesting!
Hearing this story was so inspiring, but it reminded me some valuable lessons about manifesting.
1. You can't manifest for other people
No matter what your intentions (and they can be as noble as hell), you can't create magic for someone else, you can only manifest for yourself.
Have you ever tried to manifest a new job for your husband or a relationship for your best friend? It's tough, right?
Charity is great and giving is selfless but concentrate on how it would make YOU feel to give away a giant cheque. You can give all you want but focus on what YOU want to create for yourself, otherwise you dilute your manifesting power.
2. You've got to CLAIM it
There's no need to feel guilty - it's okay for you to want amazing things for yourself. Being the "winner" or the "Lucky Bitch" might put you in the spotlight and not everyone is going to be 100% thrilled for you. Some might even roll their eyes and call you crazy.
Look at the photo above of Julie claiming her car while some people stand apart embarrassed about wanting to claim it for themselves. It was already "her" car. They probably felt intimidated that she was so confident about it.
3. Be convinced up until the last second.
Right up until she put her winning key into the lock, Julie was convinced it was her car. She had absolutely no doubt or fear just the pure enjoyment and excitement of winning a new car.
Joy and excitement help you manifest SO much better than doubt or desperation. So if you're in the final stages of manifesting something amazing for yourself, keep the faith. Everytime you doubt it you're really sending the message to the Universe that you're not sure you really want it. You're effectively cancelling your order.
